What Is Black Flag Resynced?

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is Ubisoft's full remake of the 2013 fan-favorite Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, releasing July 9, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Rebuilt from the ground up on the latest Anvil engine — with none of the original's code — it stars pirate Edward Kenway in the Golden Age of Piracy across an open-world Caribbean. You sail and upgrade the Jackdaw, board enemy ships, hunt legendary vessels and pursue 100% synchronization on foot and at sea.

The remake adds ray-traced visuals, a 60 FPS mode, new missions (including a Blackbeard endgame chapter), new islands, pets, photo mode and 10 new sea shanties. It's single-player only, with no multiplayer or season pass.
